Itinerary:
Trampolines have been around for hundreds of years, in one form or another. It wasn't until 1936 that a standardized trampoline was shown to the world. Trampoline became an official sport in 1969 and World Championships are held every 2 years. At the 2000 Olympics, the first Olympics to include Trampline, Canadian athletes Mathieu Turgeon and Karen Cockburn each won a bronze medal and Canadians were hooked. This is our chance to see how much fun it actually is. We will have an instructor that will lead us through some stretches and a warm up and then show us some of the basic jumps. However, most of the time we will be on our own to jump. There will be two people to a trampoline and there are 6 trampolines in total. This will be a good workout as 10 minutes of jumping expends more energy then running a mile. If anyone hasn't been active for a while they will definitely feel the pains the next day but you are more than welcome to join as we can all go at our own pace. Please see Airborne's website for more information. www.airbornetrampoline.ca
