Let's explore the Bluffs from above and below on this hike. After we have completed our time at the Bluffs, we will head over to Rosetta McClain Gardens. It is a lovely garden some consider a hidden gem in Scarborough. On our way back to the GO station we will pass the Scarborough War Memorial.

  • The Scarborough Bluffs, is an escarpment made up of nine parks along the bluffs, with Bluffers Park being the only one with a beach. At its highest point, the escarpment rises 90 metres above the coastline and spans a length of 15 kilometres.
  • The Rosetta McClain Garden was once a 40 acre Rumph farm, overlooking Scarborough Bluffs. After Rosetta McClain’s death in 1940, her husband offered their property to the city of Toronto as parkland in her memory in 1959.
  • The Scarborough War memorial was erected in August 1931. Originally built to honour those lost in the Great War, plaques where later added to acknowledge the Second World War and Korea.
  • Route consists mostly of paved/gravel paths with some mud trails
  • We will start at and finish at Scarborough GO station
  • We will stop for a snack break along the way
This walk/hike will be run rain or shine.
Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the start time to be checked in.
