Itinerary:
Length 10.2 km. From Webster’s Falls, we descend to the bottom of Spencer Gorge by a metal staircase and then hike along the gorge to the Old Dundas Station Side Trail. This section is former rail bed. We will take a side trip to ascend to the Sydenham Lookout. On return, the trail climbs the gorge wall a third time to the Dundas Peak Lookout before following the edge past Tews Falls and back to the parking lot. (source: Torontohiking.com)

There are three challenging hill climbs, three lookouts, and 2 major waterfalls on this hike. We will take our time and because of the short distance, this will qualify for the Slowpokes category.

What is a TOC Slowpoke? These are hikers who are not necessarily beginners, although beginners are more than welcome! It's all about taking our time to smell the roses. There will be no fast group, so if you feel that our pace of 2.5 to 3 KM/hr is too slow for you, then this is not the group for you! This is for socializing, taking pictures, smelling the flowers. If you recovering from injury, or out of shape or haven't hiked before, this is a good place to start. If you just like the idea of taking a break, it's also for you. It's not a nature walk, so you'll have to come appropriately attired, but don't feel bad if you don't know what to bring!

As always, appropriate attire is required - good hiking shoes or boots, daypack with a minimum of 1.5 litres of water, headcovering, sunscreen and lunch/snack. And weather appropriate clothing of course. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about gear!
