One Traffic Light to Union Hike (14 KM) (10/29/2023)

Randomly, did you know that you can walk from Old Mill Station in the west to Union Station while only crossing at one traffic light???
Today's hike will test that theory.

This 14 KM hike will start at Old Mill Station and end at Union Station.
For those of you who don't want to complete the entire route (nor get to the 1 traffic light), we'll pass Exhibition GO Station / Streetcar Loop at about the 9.5 KM mark.

The hike will be on a combination of paved park paths, sidewalks, wooden boardwalks and single track dirt trails.

In terms of hills, there are a couple small slopes and stairs, but nothing over 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break in Budapest Park located about 6.5 KM into the hike

Post hike, I'm going to head to Wvust Pub in Union Station, if you'd like to join me.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A LATE SUBWAY OPENING UNTIL NOON ON LINE 2 BETWEEN BROADVIEW & ST GEORGE STATION TODAY

How to Get There:

Old Mill Subway Station is located on the Bloor/Danforth Subway line, 12 stops west of St. George and 3 stops east of Kipling.

(Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt standing outside the the entrance of the station) If its cold or wet, I'll just be inside the station doors.

For those of you driving, Old Mill Station is located at 2672 Bloor Street West.
There's a free parking lot in Kings Mill Park North located at 21 Old Mill Road, which is just north of Bloor.
