Downsview Park, Heathrow Park & Downsview Dells (13.5 KM) (9/17/2023)

Itinerary:

So, trying out a new area of the city that I haven't hiked before again today.

This 13.5 KM hike will both start and finish at Downsview Park Station.

The hike will be on a combination of paved park paths and single track dirt trails.

In terms of hills, there should be two climbs of about 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at about 2.5 KM into the hike in Downsview Park & 9 KM into the hike in Downsview Dells Park.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SUBWAY CLOSURE ON LINE 2 BETWEEN WARDEN AND KENNEDY STATION THIS WEEKEND

PLEASE NOTE THAT LINE 4 IS NOT OPENING TILL NOON BETWEEN SHEPPARD-YONGE AND DON MILLS STATION TODAY

    Event Directions:

    Downsview Park Station is located on Line 1, 1 stop north of Sheppard West Station and 1 stop south of Finch West Station.

    We'll meet at the west exit or the Vitti Street exit.
    Basically the opposite side of where the GO Station is, closer to the passenger pick up area.

    from the subway, exit the presto gates and turn right and then go up the stairs/escalator.

    For those of you driving, the address for Downsview Park Station is 25 Vitti Street.
    In terms of parking, you should be able to park at the Downsview Park Merchants Market for free. To access the lot, enter the parking lot from Sheppard, one traffic light west of Vitti Street.
