Itinerary:

We are going to hit the Highland Trail and complete the short loop around Provoking Lake.

This will not be a difficult trip. This is in a “High Maintenance” section of the park, which generally means that trails are well cut, well marked, and well cleared. Campsites are well identified and well maintained.

The total loop is about 13km as per Algonquin map Scale, and we’ll have two days to complete. That will equate to about 4 hours a day of hiking at a decent pace.

Participants MUST have proper backcountry gear, and must be capable of backpacking 10-15km through some hilly terrain.

The pre-meeting for this trip will be mandatory.
