Night Hike: Danforth Village, Ashbridges Bay & Monarch Park (13.5 KM) (3/28/2023)

Itinerary:

So, the random hike picker has selected this urban hike for this evening.

This 13.5 KM hike will start from Main Street Station and end at Greenwood Station.

The hike will be on a combination of neighbourhood sidewalks, paved park paths, wooden boardwalks and single track dirt trails.

In terms of hills, there should be 2 challenging staircases about about 25 meters each.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at Kew Beach, located about 4 KM into the hike.
However, there's a chance, it might not be open.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.

    Event Directions:

    Main Street Subway Station is located on the eastern side of the Bloor/Danforth subway line.

    We'll meet just outside the station. If it's cold or wet, I'll just be inside the station doors.

    For those driving, the subway entrance is located on Main Street, just north of Danforth on the east side.
