EVENT DETAILS

So, I've always wanted to hike north of Scarlett Road on the Humber, so might as well give this brand new route a try.

This 9.5 KM hike will start at Weston GO/UP Station and travel down to Jane Station.
Some interesting spots include

  • 'Raymore Park'.
  • 'James Gardens'.
  • 'Lambton Woods'.
  • 'Étienne Brûlé Park'.
  • This hike will be primarily on wide paved paths, with a few gravel trails and neighbourhood sidewalks.

There's one challenging 50 meter hill/flight of stairs out of the valley and a few other smaller climbs throughout the route.

We'll do a washroom stop in James Gardens just about an hour into the hike.

    We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h.

    Required Items to Bring:
  • Hiking boots or hiking shoes
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • A smile.
  • First aid kit
  • Whistle
  • $20 for your 2022 TOC badge

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

Weston GO/UP Station is located on the Kitchener GO Line as well as the Union Pearson (UP) Express. If you are going to come by train, I'd suggest taking the UP as it runs every 15- 20 minutes.

In terms of buses, here is a list of buses you catch to drop you off close to the station.

  • 52A/B/G from Lawrence or Lawrence West Station
  • 79A from Runnymede Station
  • 89 from Keele Station

For those of you driving, Weston Station is located on the south-east corner of Lawrence & Weston.

We'll meet just outside the main entrance doors, beside the parking lot, below the train platform.

In terms of parking, there's a GO Parking lot east side of Weston Road, south of Lawrence.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt.
