Interim COVID-19 Rules for the Toronto Outdoor Club

  • You must meet the following four conditions to participate in any TOC events.
    Within the 14 days preceding the event:
    1. You have not travelled outside of Ontario;
    2. You don’t have any COVID-19, cold, or flu symptoms;
    3. You have not knowingly been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case;
    4. You have taken and passed the Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment on- line questionnaire.
  • You will bring a cloth mask/face covering, which you will wear during the event meet-up, plus any time during the event when the 2m social distancing is not possible.
  • You will comply with any other rules as detailed on the TOC Rules Amendments
  • You will comply with any additional rules set by the organizer of the event for which you have registered, which could be more strict than the ones detailed above.

NOTES

  • These rules are in effect immediately and until further notice.
  • YOU MUST CONFIRM IN THE "NOTES" SECTION DURING SIGN UP THAT YOU MEET ALL THE CONDITIONS LISTED IN THIS DIRECTIVE AND YOU WILL COMPLY WITH ALL THE INTERIM RULES.
    Your event coordinator has been instructed to remove your event registration without further notice if you do not take this step during your registration.
  • Your coordinator may also remove you from the event (even after it has started) if you fail to comply with the rules, and report you back to the TOC Executive.
  • If you cannot or do not wish to follow these temporary rules, please wait to sign up for any TOC events until the interim rules are lifted.

EVENT DETAILS

So the random hike picker has selected this urban hike for your Sunday morning.

Today's 11.5 KM hike will go between St. Clair Station to Rosedale Station.
However, we'll pass both Eglinton West Station at the 5.5 KM mark and St. Clair West Station at the 8 KM mark for anyone who would like to leave the hike early.

The hike will be a combination of park paths, cemetery roads, the odd parking lot and some gravel paths.

In terms of hills, there are about 2 small climbs, but nothing too crazy.

We'll stop at the Loblaws about 2 hours into the hike for a washroom break.

    St. Clair Subway Station is located on the Yonge/University Subway Line, 3 stops north of Bloor Station.

    We'll meet outside the subway entrance located on the SOUTH side St Clair Avenue, which is right beside a McDonalds, just east of Yonge Street.
    Probably underneath the tower of 21 St. Clair East. See Picture of Starting location Below.

    For those of you driving, there's a Green P parking lot located on Alvin Avenue, just east of Yonge Street and north of St. Clair.
