Interim COVID-19 Rules for the Toronto Outdoor Club

  • You must meet the following four conditions to participate in any TOC events.
    Within the 14 days preceding the event:
    1. You have not travelled outside of Ontario;
    2. You don’t have any COVID-19, cold, or flu symptoms;
    3. You have not knowingly been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case;
    4. You have taken and passed the Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment on- line questionnaire.
  • You will bring a cloth mask/face covering, which you will wear during the event meet-up, plus any time during the event when the 2m social distancing is not possible.
  • You will comply with any other rules as detailed on the TOC Rules Amendments
  • You will comply with any additional rules set by the organizer of the event for which you have registered, which could be more strict than the ones detailed above.

NOTES

  • These rules are in effect immediately and until further notice.
  • YOU MUST CONFIRM IN THE "NOTES" SECTION DURING SIGN UP THAT YOU MEET ALL THE CONDITIONS LISTED IN THIS DIRECTIVE AND YOU WILL COMPLY WITH ALL THE INTERIM RULES.
    Your event coordinator has been instructed to remove your event registration without further notice if you do not take this step during your registration.
  • Your coordinator may also remove you from the event (even after it has started) if you fail to comply with the rules, and report you back to the TOC Executive.
  • If you cannot or do not wish to follow these temporary rules, please wait to sign up for any TOC events until the interim rules are lifted.

PLEASE NOTE: If you receive an email that reads "MOVED TO THE WAIT LIST," or don't see you name on the wait list, its because you haven't agreed to the INTERIM TOC COVID-19 Rules.

So, the random hike generator has picked this route for nice evening hike.

This route will go from Glencairn Station to Davisville Station for a 5 KM route.

The majority of this hike will be on wide gravel trails or through neighborhoods.

Please note, we'll be meeting at the south entrance to Glencairn Station, which is the Viewmount Avenue Exit. Also, please note that there are no washrooms near the starting point of this hike.

Kinda, weird, but I can't really think of any hills on this route.

As tonight's hike is pretty short, there will not be any washrooms on the route.

For those of you looking for a good mask to wear while hiking, you can find the one I use, 'here from Amazon'.

    Glencairn Subway Station is located on the University Subway Line (Line 1), one stop north of Eglinton West Subway Station & 5 Stations north of St. George.

    We'll be meeting at the Viewmount Avenue exit, which is the south exit of the station. If you do not know which is the south exit of the station, just follow the direction of the southbound train.

    For those of you driving, the address is 237 Viewmount Avenue. If you are looking for a place to park, you can park at the Viewmount Park Tennis Club (address is 169 Viewmount Ave), which is just east of the station.
