Interim COVID- 19 Rules for the Toronto Outdoor Club

  • You must meet the following four conditions to participate in any TOC events.
    Within the 14 days preceding the event:
    1. You have not travelled outside of Ontario;
    2. You don’t have any COVID-19, cold, or flu symptoms;
    3. You have not knowingly been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case;
    4. You have taken and passed the Ontario COVID-19 self- assessment on- line questionnaire.
  • You will bring a cloth mask/face covering, which you will wear during the event meet- up, plus any time during the event when the 2m social distancing is not possible.
  • You will comply with any other rules as detailed on the TOC Rules Amendments
  • You will comply with any additional rules set by the organizer of the event for which you have registered, which could be more strict than the ones detailed above.

NOTES

  • These rules are in effect immediately and until further notice.
  • YOU MUST CONFIRM IN THE "NOTES" SECTION DURING SIGN UP THAT YOU MEET ALL THE CONDITIONS LISTED IN THIS DIRECTIVE AND YOU WILL COMPLY WITH ALL THE INTERIM RULES.
    Your event coordinator has been instructed to remove your event registration without further notice if you do not take this step during your registration.
  • Your coordinator may also remove you from the event (even after it has started) if you fail to comply with the rules, and report you back to the TOC Executive.
  • If you cannot or do not wish to follow these temporary rules, please wait to sign up for any TOC events until the interim rules are lifted.

EVENT DETAILS

PLEASE NOTE: If you receive an email that reads "MOVED TO THE WAIT LIST," or don't see you name on the wait list, its because you haven't agreed to the INTERIM TOC COVID-19 Rules.

So, the random hike generator has picked this route for your morning.

Total distance is about 12.5 km. We'll travel between High Park Station to Queens Quay Streetcar Station (which is just south of Union Station).

This hike will be on a combination of paved park trails & dirt trails.

Weirdly, not really any hills of note on this route. Disappointing.

We'll stop for a washroom break, maybe about 45 minutes and then 2 hours into the route.

For those of you looking for a good mask to wear while hiking, you can find the one I use, 'here from Amazon'.

ALSO THE GARDNER EXPRESSWAY IS CLOSED ALL WEEKEND

    We'll meet outside the Quebec Avenue exit of High Park Station. High Park Station is located on Line 2, Bloor-Danforth, 1 stop west of Keele & 2 stops east of Jane.

    For those driving, Quebec Avenue is located one block west of High Park Avenue, north of Bloor. In terms of parking, there is free street parking in the neighborhood north of the station, but please read the signs carefully as the parking rules rotate on the two sides of the street based on what day of the month it is.
