We are hiking the Dufferin Hi-Land section, parts of the Bruce Trail. We pass by some interesting mosses cover crevice system where rocks get cracked by freezing and thawing of ice. It is a fun area to explore the crevice system and the beautiful views. We hike along the Walter Tovell Side Trail, Lookout Side Trail Lookout Point to McCarston's Lake. The trails pass some mixed hardwood forest and oldest old growth White Cedar that survived on the escarpment and had become the oldest living trees in Ontario. Distance: 12km | |||||||
