We will travel to Awenda Provincial Park, near Penetanguishene, to snowshoe along several of the trails in the park for a distance of approx. 15km.

The trails will go through the forests, onto the beach, and overlook Georgian Bay in sections. Participants must bring their own snowshoes - rentals are not available.

All dogs must be on leash and all dog waste packed out. Dog owners are responsible for their own rides.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $103.20 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Monday, November 3, 2025). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

The quoted day use vehicle cost is $8 to $16. I remember it being around $8 last year, not $16, but this is the possible range of fees for day use at the park.
