Itinerary: | |||||||
We will meet at Runnymede Station and follow
this route: • Into High Park and along Grenadier Pond • Down to the Martin Goodman Trail along the lake • Through the Exhibition Grounds then north to Liberty Village • Through neighbourhood streets in Liberty Village and Little Italy to College & Bathurst • Head to a nearby pizza place for a slice (if you wish) Route Rundown: Distance: About 10km Pace: Between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time Trails: Mostly paved trails and sidewalks with one section of gravel trail Terrain: One set of stairs at the beginning, otherwise fairly flat After the hike, I will take any interested hikers to a local pizza joint for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizzeria features greasy 2am style pizza slices. There are several different types of slices, including a few vegetarian options. See map below for start/end points and the rough hiking route. Subway (also
known as Line 2) located at the corner of Bloor
