DISTANCE - 12 km

PACE - 6 km/h

DIFFICULTY - D4 - pace will be quick, no straggling !!

Along a mix of paved, gravel and dirt paths.
Between kms 3 -5 we will be on a dirt path with some steep ups and downs!!
It will still be light at that time.

  • Have you wanted to come out on a FAST hike but weren't sure if you could keep up?
  • Well, this hike might be for you.
  • Please, if you sign up for this hike, ensure that you can walk about 6.0 km/h for 12 km.
  • This is an ALMOST FAST HIKE for strong hikers, IT IS NOT A CASUAL STROLL.
  • (FYI - a FAST HIKE would be 6.5 - 7 km/h)

This is the route we will take.

  • Start at Lawrence subway station, (S.E. corner of Yonge St & Lawrence Ave)
  • east through parks to Serena Gundy Park
  • loop Sunnybrook upper playing field
  • west through various parks
  • End at Lawrence subway station

    We'll meet on the South-East corner of Yonge St and Lawrence Ave, near the 'Locke' branch of the Toronto Public Library across the street from the Lawrence Subway Station Entrance.

    Lawrence Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway Line, two stops south of Sheppard and 6 Stations north of Bloor.

    Look for me with an ORANGE whistle on my backpack.
