The Seaton Trail is a wonderful hiking trail on
the EAST side of the city (for once!) It
doesn’t get as much attention as it deserves,
likely due to its relatively short distance,
but it has its own challenges and beauty that
we’ll explore during this hike. We will start at the south end and go UP (north to Whitevale, where the bridge is closed). That’s about 10 km the one way, mostly uphill. We’ll stop for lunch before heading back (down) to the cars, another 10 km. But this is a hike with a twist. We’ll be geocaching on the way up. That means we get to make plenty of rest breaks while we stop and hunt for the hidden caches. Don’t know what geocaching is? Or heard of it but still are not sure what to do?
