Itinerary:
Who wants a badge? To celebrate the Caledon BT's birthday, they are giving* special edition badges to anyone who completes the whole Caledon section of the Bruce trail (called an "end to end").

Though this section of the trail may have a country road feel, the views of Toronto and the CN tower will make an amazing backdrop to your day.

Here are the Important Details

  • The hike involves a car-shuttle. Passengers should bring an extra jacket to wear while they wait for the cars (jackets can be left in the car at the end so that you don't need to carry them the whole distance)
  • Pace is moderate. ~ 4.5 km / hour is expected. Don't sign up if you want to go really fast.
  • Maps # 15 & 16. You can purchase individual maps if you don't own the book and want to have them for your own reference. Click here for more information.
  • Hike goes rain / snow or shine. DO NOT sign up if you don't have rain gear and / or aren't willing to hike in the rain or snow.
  • In order to get a badge, you need to; a) keep a log of the dates/locations and distances hiked, and b) once complete, send in your logs and $5 to the Caledon Bruce trail to cover shipping / handling costs. You can go here for more information.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $39.99 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Thursday, November 21, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

TOC membership badges will be available for sale.

FYI,There will be no Tim's pit stop on the way to the event.
