Itinerary:

Terrain: Variable. Rocky outcrops, forested areas, meadows & escarpment ascent/descent. There are a few landmarks of interest - a lookout, Crawford lake and a replica of Iroquai village. Length of the hike is 15 km, average pace is 5 km/h. Bruce Trail Map 11.

Route: Start @ 102.3 on the main trail. Follow main trail north till 111.6. Break for lunch. Return by side trails (Leech Bypass & Crawford lake). Brief stopover at the lake/village.

This hike is suitable for experienced intermediate or advanced hikers. Hikers coming on this event should have D4 level experience. This means previous experience of 15 - 20 km hikes and an average pace of 5 km/hr. If you don't have a history with the TOC, please include some comments in the notes about your hiking experience.

Those willing to drive (mention # of passengers) and regular hikers will be given preference on the waiting list.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From Downsview, take Allen Road south to 401. Travel west on 401 for about 50 km and take the exit to Guelph Line. Exit # is 312.

Travel south on Guelph line for 4.2 km and turn right on Conservation Road. Continue another 1.5 km and take the first left. You will be on Twiss Rd. Travel another 1.3 km to the parking spot on the roadside. There will be parking space for 3 cars each on both sides of the road.
