Itinerary:
This hike is challenging, because of the elevation, but is the highest point of the Bruce Trail. The most difficult part occurs near the beginning of the hike where you must climb up a wall of granite boulders, although ropes are provided for hand holds. You are rewarded with a lovely view of Nottawasaga Bay, and can even see the lighthouse on Christian Island on a clear day.

The hike is mainly forested where at least 10 different varieties of mushrooms were spotted in the summer. A small detour takes us from the loop trail through Pretty River provincial park to eat lunch by the small but pretty Sundown lake. Then back to the Osler Bluffs trail, to the highest point, which is a bit of disappointment as there are no lookout, but there must be hundreds of apple trees, so it should make for a tasty fall hike. The views are spectacular. The extra driving time to get to this hike is worth it.

The trailhead is very difficult to find so there will be no meeting at the event, unless you have done this hike with the TOC previously.
