Andrew says: This is the 'overflow' section of Stacy's event. We get to watch it all live from the Famous Players. Okay, that's not true: we just leave later. Please use Stacy's event as the primary place to sign-up however. Stacy says: Mar 20, 2010. Valentine's has long gone, Easter is still a couple of weeks away. But none of that matters, because SPRING officially arrives at 1:32 PM EDT!! It's time for Chocolate, baby! And of course we’re talking quality chocolate. Specialty chocolate shops. No offence, but no Laura Secord stops on this hike. Close your eyes and imagine these flavours melting in your mouth: chai tea chocolate; white chocolate with lavender; ice wine truffles; espresso crisp truffle; turtle delight fudge!Toronto (it turns out) is home to quite the array of quality chocolate shops, but they’re not all huddled together in one spot. So we will just have to make a hike out of it. Here's the plan: Buy a chocolate, hike a couple of km to burn it off, buy another chocolate, hike some more… you get the picture! It’s the ultimate guilt-free, gourmet, chocolate day! And after the grueling day of urban concrete hiking, those who are interested will retire to a nearby restaurant for a drink and bite to eat. The Hot House Cafe is on route from our last chocolate shop back to Union Station, and offers lots of menu choices. Here’s the ‘Stuff You Need To Know’:
