Itinerary:
We will hike around 17Km starting from Kerncliff Park (near WaterDown) to Mount Nemo. We will follow the main Bruce Trail

This is not a SLOW hike. The average TARGET pace will be 4.5 Km/h, that means that sometime we will hike faster to compensate for all water/picture/bio/snacks/lunch breaks.

We will have lunch around 1:00pm in some point of the trail (not necessary the middle point).

We will drive directly from Carpooling to the trail. Buy coffee, lunch, breakfast BEFORE arriving to the carpooling (It is not nice to wait 20mins in the cold).

Subway starts late on Sundays, remember to take your precautions. Please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier departure time. We will depart at 10:00am, if you arrive at 10:01am we will be gone.

This hike will be a one-way, we will do car shuttling between the starting (KernCliff Park) and ending (Mount Nemo) points. Bring warm clothes to wear while waiting for the cars.

We are expecting the trails to be muddy, good hiking footwear is mandatory.

This event is for intermediate to experienced hikers who are comfortable maintaining an average of 4.5km/h pace for around 5 hours. Please don't sign up if you are a beginner or a slower hiker. Previous TOC hiking experience (D4) or equivalent is a pre-requisite. If you are claming previous equivalent experience, please write it on the Notes section while you register, otherwise you will be considered unexperienced and removed from the event.

After the hike, we will visit the Black Bull (Guelph line & QEW) for socializing, drink a beer and/or eat something.

There will not be clock-pressure in this event; if you need to be back to Toronto at certain hour, please do not sign-up for this event. We will be in a relaxed no-clock-pressure trip. Do not make plans for the evenning.

IMPORTANT: Please sign-un for this event ONLY if you are a WEATHER-Proof hiker. This event will run under the sun, the rain or the snow. You must have a 100% commitment of assisting this event regardless of weather conditions.

  1. Head SouthWest to QEW
  2. Turn right on Dundas Street
  3. Turn right at Kerns Rd

Priority will be given to drivers and members that have probed their commitment. If you have registered for 10 events and have cancelled 5 of them, you will be moved to the waiting list, and if you have 2 or more no-shows, you will be removed.
