Itinerary:

Distance: 11.7 km.
Terrain: Paved trails and some grassy areas from Old Kingston Road to Lake Ontario. Gravel and dirt trails along the bluffs and shoreline. Sand, pebbles, & driftwood along the beach. Relatively flat with a few climbs and descents.

This walk follows paved trails through Colonel Danforth Park along Highland Creek from Old Kingston Road in Scarborough to Lake Ontario and then along the bluffs and shore of Lake Ontario to East Point Park. A linear walk with a few loops. Descent down the bluffs to the shore is relatively easy after the first few metres.

    From Downtown Toronto:
    Take the Don Valley Parkway North to Eglinton or Lawrence. Drive EAST and turn left onto Kingston Road. Follow Kingston Road past Morningside. Turn left at the stoplights at Fairwood Crescent. Then turn right almost immediately onto Kingston Road and drive downhill to the parking lot on the left just before the bridge over Highland Creek.

    From the 401:
    Take Morningside Avenue South to Kingston Road. Turn left onto Kingston Road. Careful: this is a busy intersection. Turn left at the stoplights at Fairwood Crescent. Then turn right almost immediately onto Kingston Road and drive downhill to the parking lot on the left just before the bridge over Highland Creek.

    By TTC BUS from Kennedy Stn:
    From kennedy, take the Scarborough 86A bus. Get off at the bus stop across from Sister’s Eatery just after Morningside and Collinsgrove Rd. Walk down the hill on Old Kingston Road and meet at the parking area.
