THE PRE-MEETING ON JULY 14th HAS BEEN CANCELLED. ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE MADE BY EMAIL INSTEAD.

Enjoy the August long weekend away from the city! We've booked two sites (618 and 620) at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. A network of sparkling small lakes and majestic coniferous and broad-leafed forests make up the landscape of this park, which is just south of the boundary between northern and southern Ontario. Deer and moose are common in the park area, and smaller mammals such as muskrat, raccoon, mink, fox and beaver can often be spotted. More than 160 species of birds have been identified near Grundy Lake, especially in the marsh areas.

We will have plenty to do as there are three swimming areas, hiking trails, and canoe, kayak, and paddleboat rentals.

We'll be leaving Toronto on Friday afternoon, and returning on Monday afternoon/evening. Note that the carpool drivers will determine the exact times of departure and passengers must be flexible. If you are planning to be a passenger, be sure that you can be ready to leave Toronto in mid-afternoon on Friday if necessary.
