Itinerary:

So, the random hike picker has selected this urban hike for this evening.

This 7.5 KM hike will both start and finish at High Park Station.

The hike will be on a combination of gassy paths, both wide & single track dirt trails, paved park paths, sidewalks and a few roads.

In terms of hills, there should be 2 climbs of about 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break in High Park at the 2 KM mark.

For those unfamiliar with how I lead my hikes.

  • If you see me walking at a certain pace, you don’t have to walk at the same pace as me (I like to talk to different people on a hike, so I walk I different paces)
  • If you’d like to walk faster than me, that’s cool, if you like to walk slower than me, that’s cool too
  • We’ll meet up as a group when we take a major turn, cross a major intersection or if I think the group is getting too far separated.
  • We’ll do a water break, breather and sure everyone is aliver
  • I have two requests:
    1. If you choose to walk in front of me and you don’t know where you’re going, please stop and wait as I ain’t going to chase after y'all.
    2. Please no harassment, or else you won’t be welcomed back.

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

We'll meet at the High Park Avenue exit of High Park Station within the bus terminal.
High Park Station is located on Line 2, Bloor-Danforth, 1 stop west of Keele & 2 stops east of Jane.

For those exiting the subway, just take the exit from the far east side of the platform.
If you do not know where the east side of the platform is, follow the direction of the eastbound train.

For those driving, High Park Station's address at 35 Quebec Avenue, however the last time I was there, the access point from Quebec Avenue was closed.
So you'd have to go around via Bloor and north on High Park Avenue to access the station.
Quebec Avenue has free street parking on one side of the street depending on the time of the month.
There is free street parking on the west side of Pacific Drive and the east side of Oakmount Drive, both streets are just west of High Park Avenue.
