Itinerary:

So, the random hike picker has selected this urban hike for this evening.

This 4.5 KM hike will both start and finish at Finch West Station.

The hike will be on a combination of paved multi use trails, sidewalks and single track dirt trails.

In terms of hills, there should be 2 climbs of about 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at the York Wood library located about 2.5 KM into the hike.

For those unfamiliar with how I lead my hikes.

  • If you see me walking at a certain pace, you don’t have to walk at the same pace as me (I like to talk to different people on a hike, so I walk I different paces)
  • If you’d like to walk faster than me, that’s cool, if you like to walk slower than me, that’s cool too
  • We’ll meet up as a group when we take a major turn, cross a major intersection or if I think the group is getting too far separated.
  • We’ll do a water break, breather and sure everyone is aliver
  • I have two requests:
    1. If you choose to walk in front of me and you don’t know where you’re going, please stop and wait as I ain’t going to chase after y'all.
    2. Please no harassment, or else you won’t be welcomed back.

For those of you exciting the subway, follow the signs to the bus platform (excluding the Keele South Bus) or exit the subway platform from the north side and head up the stairs.
If you do not know where the north side of the platform is, then follow the direction of the northbound train.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt,

For those of you driving, the entrance is located on the east side of Keele Street, one traffic light north of Finch. In terms of parking, there is a TTC lot located just north of the station.
