THE CARPOOL LEAVES KIPLING STATION (SOUTH PARKING LOT) @ 8:15 AM

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch at the new Rockway Conservation Area.
This is my first time leading this particular route, but I've done all the sections at least twice before.
Today's hike will be along the Bruce Trail, some of its side trails and a provincial park trail passing 3 waterfalls.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Level of hike: Intermediate
  • Distance: 18.5 KM
  • Terrain: Very, very muddy. Can be icy in sections, but its so muddy, last year it took someone's sole.
  • Trail vs Road: 18 km vs 500m
  • Elevation Range: 50 Meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 7 climbs of at least 25 meters, with 2 of the climbs at least 50 meters.
  • Largest Climb: 55 meters near the end of the hike.
  • Washrooms: I know there's some around 15.5 KM mark.
However, they have a new enhancement projuct at Rockway Conservation Area at our lunch spot, so maybe they put in new washrooms there, but I'm not sure.
  • Highlights: 'Terrance Falls', 'Rockway Falls' and 'Swayze Falls'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 20 people.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SUBWAY CLOSURE ON LINE 1 BETWEEN DAVISVILLE AND LAWRENCE THIS WEEKEND

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'HERE ON AMAZON'.
