EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES SHEPPARD WEST STATION at 8:30 AM

So, I've led a hike through Mono Cliffs Provincial Park 7 times in my TOC career.
However, this is a brand new route including the new section of trail through the Whitetail Refuge Nature Reserve, which joined the Bruce Trail in July 2022.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
My diabolical plan is to stop for lunch at the viewing platform, located about 10.5 KM into the hike.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 20.5 KM
  • Terrain: Single track dirt, some rocky sections & wide gravel trails
  • Trail vs Road: 18 km vs 2 km
  • Elevation Range: 100 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 6 climbs of at least 25 meters, 4 of which are at least 50 meters.
  • Largest Climb: 65 meters
  • Washrooms: Yes, there will be a washroom located about 8.5 KM into the hike.
  • Highlights: 'Lookout' & 'Jacob's Ladder'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I've set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 20 people.

PLEASE NOTE THAT LINE 1 IS CLOSED BETWEEN ST CLAIR TO YORK MILLS STATION THIS WEEKEND

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.
