Itinerary:

By signing up for this event, you agree to, and acknowledge, the following:

  • Should this event involve a car pool, you will wear a face mask at all times when inside a vehicle

  • This ~25 KM hike will make a loop of the Bruce Trail/Kythera Friendship trail + the Hilton Falls Side Trail.
Last event I'll be running until the fall (we're headed back to Colorado shortly after this).
I hope to see some friendly faces out here with me. :)

Hills, uneven terrain and probably some muddy areas (or icy/snowy) will be involved.
Pace will be steady around 4-4.5km/hr or faster if footing/conditions are good. NOT FOR NEWBIES.
We'll see nice views from the top of the escarpment & Hilton Falls.
We will stop for breaks, but there will not be any drop offs.
Quick lunch break about halfway through near the waterfall in Hilton Falls Conservation Area (~15min).

If you cannot walk the entire distance, please do not sign up for this hike.
No washroom facilities at this hike. Be ready to use the bushes.

You must bring a pair of traction device/icers for any icy areas.
This is a good idea from October- April or even later in our area.
You may slow down the group and risk injury without them. Poles are also suggested.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR.
If this is not completed, you will be moved to the wait list until I get an answer.
For those choosing to meet at the event, please come on time.
PLEASE TEXT ME IF YOU NEED TO GET IN TOUCH--DO NOT CALL. Thanks!
I’ve set the maximum attendance count at 3 as I don’t want to add anyone until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 15 people. I will be driving myself and my spouse (so room for up to 3 more in our car).

Drivers & those whom I know can finish this hike will get priority on the waiting list.

This hike will go ahead rain or shine. If it's raining, please wear appropriate rain gear.
