Itinerary:

So, I have to stay local today, so I just pulled out of my butt a short but fun urban hike for this morning.

This 6.5 KM hike will both start and finish at North York Centre Station.

The hike will be on a combination of sidewalks, grassy fields, paved park paths, cemetery roads and single track trails.

In terms of hills, there should be one 50 meter climb.

Sadly, there are no open washrooms on the hike.
However, you can always use the ones in the Starbucks, located at the beginning / end of the hike.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.

    Event Directions:

    We'll meet outside the Starbucks at North York Centre Subway Station. The Starbucks is located on the west of Yonge St and on the north side of Mel Lastman Square and across the street from Empress Walk Mall.

    For those driving:

    There is street parking in the area, west of Beecroft Rd

    Or, there's a pay parking lot on the North- East corner at Empress/Park Home and Yonge Street, which is three traffic lights north of Sheppard Ave.
    Then it's just a short walk to the Starbucks, which is located south of Empress/Park Home on the west side.
