Itinerary: | |||||||
So, this is my latest hike creation that I've decided to try, which will walk through some of the newer and some of the more historic neighborhoods, bridges and parks in Toronto. This 7.5 KM hike will both start and finish at Exhibition GO Station. This hike will primarily on paved park paths or sidewalks. Probably the most daunting climb, will be up
the stairs that takes us across the new King
Liberty Bridge. I'll attempt to stop for a washroom in Coronation Park, about 45 minutes into the hike. If that's not open, we'll just mosey over to Trillium Park just 500 meters further west. We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h. Post hike, if anyone's interested, I'm going to head over to Arvo Coffee for a snack/coffee, if you'd like to join. I usually carry a pair of icers with me from
the first snowfall of the year until the end of
April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack
to deal with any potential ice. | |||||||

How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | Exhibition GO Station is located on the Lakeshore West GO Line, one stop west of Union Station. It also located at the end of the 509 Harbourfront Streetcar & the 511 Bathurst Streetcar route. Also, the 29 Dufferin Bus has a stop in front of the station. We'll meet on the south side of the train tracks at the corner of Manitoba Drive & Nova Scotia Ave. For those of you driving, there's a parking located on Nova Scotia Avenue, just south of our meet point. Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt. Map
