We arrived at the Wolf Den on Thursday night. After introductions, a tour, and putting things away, we settled in for the night. On Friday, we met up with another TOC group that had braved the elements camping in Algonquin Park. We hiked the bike rail trail together, which was well marked and flat. Saturday, the majority of the group hiked the Fen Lake ski trail, while others did the Highland Trail starting at the Mew Lake campground. Both trails were challenging due to ice and pockets of water. A short hike to the waterfall on Sunday was enjoyed by those with enough energy to hike a third day. Ben, Robin, and Miko were great hosts. We look forward to visiting the Wolf Den again soon.
