A most recent version of Bruce Trail map would have help us, and could have shortened our trek by few km. Fortunately the unfortunate detour did take us past the old canals and through one of the more scenic spots on the trail. A very hot and long day (and not a cloud in the sky) for a long hike and everyone was is in great spirits to the very end. An enticement of a beer stop towards the end.. really helped a lot!!
