Write Up:
TOC members ventured into Tommy Thompson Park on the Leslie Street Spit on what turned out to be a beautiful, sometimes sunny, Saturday morning hike. Though we, as good TOCers, came prepared with backpacks full of rain gear, none of it was needed as we explored this urban park.

From beautifully coloured wildflowers to concrete blocks to cormorants (and their poo) to a graffiti covered lighthouse, we discovered an interesting mix of rural and urban landscape that was ripe for photography. Tommy Thompson Park is definitely an interesting urban escape that deserves some exploration...rain or shine!
