Itinerary:

Erik has reserved both a 1 and 2 Bedroom Suite, each w/Full Kitchen, at the resort for a full week. We'll sort out the carpools closer to the event date. More accommodation can be booked if enough people sign-up and get their deposit in fast!

When signing up for this event you will go directly to the waiting list. Only once you have put down the deposit (plus transaction fee) for the accommodation (event cost) will your spot on the event be secured. Depending on the mix of people that sign up for the event (willing to share beds or take the pull-out couch in each unit) the amount for accommodation will end up being less. The surplus will be refunded to you at the event. Once all the beds are filled (with deposits sent in) you probably won't be able to get on this event. Don't miss out!

Erik has helped plan a very similar trip to Carriage Ridge Resort previous years (with friends and once as a TOC event), and is familiar with all the details. We (TOC) did this same trip to Tremblant in January 2008. Everyone had a blast!!! We're even staying in the same condo/timeshare as last time because it worked out so well (wireless internet, close to Tremblant Village, etc.)

There are too many potential activities and attractions to mention here, but we will discuss transportation/itinerary as a group, but you can pick and choose what you want to do and when you want to do it (ski/spa/creperie/tubing/snowshoe/etc). There are deals to be had on Lift Tickets which Erik will work with you on if you wish.

Besides skiing there is plenty of other stuff to do in the area. Erik will bring up a rubbermaid bin full of DVDs, a stereo and tonnes of tunes), so no matter what happens, it's going to be a blast! (The units are nicely segregated so you don't always have to participate with the movies/music/etc. going on in the primary unit)

Sales Pitch: As your accommodation for the week will likely be under $300 per person and you can buy groceries to cook in the unit just like you were at home - this will be the cheapest and likely best vacation you've ever had (assuming you like to be in a resort, with great people, near the mountains in winter)! Erik has 30 days to cancel the accommodation reservation, so we need participants confirmed quickly.

Required Items to Bring:
appropriate winter clothing (hat, gloves, windproof/waterproof jacket & pants - no jeans)
We can bring our own food, or eat at the various restaurants in the area. The unit has a full kitchen. If you plan on visiting the spa you might want to bring flipflops/sandals and a bathing suit.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
ski equipment, if you have it. Sleeping bag/linens/pillows are optional depending on where in the unit you are sleeping. We'll work all of that out during our meeting prior to the trip. (Couples and friends that are willing to share a bed will get preferential sleeping accommodations - and reduced cost per person for the trip). If we get a bunch of singles (no bed sharing), then it will be first paid ($250) gets first pick of where they're sleeping.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:View a Google Map with complete directions:Click Here
Carpool to Event Distance (round trip):1284Km
Carpool Departure Time: 8:30 AM
Carpool Location:   Log in for location
Carpool Directions:   Log in for directions
Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $331.27 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Sunday, April 28, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Notes:
The deposit on the event (including 3% transaction surcharge) is an estimate of the cost of the most expensive sleeping configuration of the rooms (3 singles in a 6 person unit). Obviously if people are willing to share (beds) the average cost will drop significantly. (Yes, people willing to share will get the bulk of any price drop per person).
- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
