Itinerary:

For our adventure weekend, on Saturday, October 9th, we will be riding at Whinny Acres which is located near Priceville (about 2 hours from Toronto). Whinny Acres is my favorite place to ride and is known as a Horse Lovers Paradise, with a horse adventure for all levels of riders. Whether you have never been on a horse, are an experienced rider, you will be given a horse to match your riding skills along with instructions.

We will sign in by 2:30pm for the 3:00pm guided group trail ride. After the ride we will have leisure time on the grounds with a BBQ in the evening. We will have use of the Hot Tub, propane BBQ, and a fully equipped Cookhouse.

Overnight, we will be staying in Bunkies nestled in a secluded, treed area. The Bunkies are made of Cedar logs, and are insulated to keep us comfortable during our stay. Bunkies are equipped with single bunk beds and mattress only. Alternatively, you can bring your own tent. Public shower and flushed toilets are nearby.

On Sunday, October 10th, we will depart at 9:15am for a 19km hike on the Bruce Trail, near Ravenna. Note that we will hike at an average pace of around 4.5 kph, slower going up, faster coming down. The hike will also involve an end-to-end car shuttle so there can be no drop-outs. Footwear with good foot and ankle support is required; anyone showing up at the carpool on Saturday without proper footwear for Sunday's hike will not be permitted to come.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-trip meeting on Tuesday, October 5th at 7:00pm at Chalkers on Marlee Ave to discuss carpool arrangements and meals. Non-attendance will result in you being removed from the event.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Helmets are mandatory for the entire time that we will be horseback riding. Whinny Acres will provide the safety-approved helmets - which are a TOC safety requirement; if you ride and have your own helmet, feel free to bring it. Whinny Acres requires that all participants sign a waiver.
