Itinerary:

Mantracker move over, we're saddling up for a trail ride.

We will be riding at Wildwood Manor Ranch, which is just 1 hour outside of Toronto, near Georgetown. Wildwood Manor caters to riders of all ability levels –- so even if you have never ridden a horse before, they will give you the right horse and enough instructions so that you can have a safe and fun ride. Alternatively, if you are a more experienced rider, you can enjoy one of the more "spirited" horses, so that you can also have a good challenge during our trip.

For this day's adventure, we'll arrive around 10:30am and sign in for our 11am trail group ride. We will go on a 1-hour guided horseback ride on the trails, led by qualified guides from Wildwood.

After the ride, we'll take a break for lunch, and then we'll go on a 2 hour D3 group hike. We will carry on the Mantracker theme and see if you can track the hike leader down the trail. Once our hike is done, we'll begin our journey home.

Important safety notes:

  • Helmets are mandatory for the entire time that we will be horseback riding. Wildwood Ranch will provide the safety-approved helmets. The helmets are a TOC safety requirement.
  • Wildwood Manor Ranch requires that all participants sign a waiver. View the waiver.

    Important payment notes:

  • This event will be on a first pay basis after the payment cut off date.

  • Required Items to Bring:
  • Boots or shoes with a small heel
  • Pants (NO shorts for riding)
  • Water
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Daypack
  • Proper foot wear for ride and trails.

    Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $33.54 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Saturday, April 27, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

    Notes:

    - Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
    - When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
    - We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
