This is a weekday daytime hike!

With optional lunch after the hike


DISTANCE: 10 km

PACE: 4.5 km/h

DIFFICULTY: D3

ICERS: we may need icers for this hike. Be prepared. You must keep icers in your pack during the winter months.


The route will take us along a mix of paved, gravel and dirt paths with a few good hills
There will most likely be some icy and / or muddy sections
There is a very nice stretch of path right beside a branch of the Don River

If anyone is interested, we can find a place to have lunch after the hike

Required Items to Bring:
  • PROPER ICERS with sharp metal points to dig into the ice - keep icers in your pack during the winter months.

  • Good footwear (no open toe sandals!)
  • weather appropriate clothing
  • water 1 or 2 L

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We'll meet outside the Starbucks at North York Centre Subway Station.
The Starbucks is located on the west of Yonge St and on the north side of Mel Lastman Square and across the street from Empress Walk Mall.

There is free street parking on side streets west of Beecroft Rd. (Tamworth, Park Home etc.) Have a look at the map below
