Itinerary:
Summer is winding down and I haven't had much chance to enjoy the delicious gelato the city has to offer. Let's hike to one of the finest gelato places in the city, which also happens to serve another of my personal favourites: pizza.

We will meet as Castle Frank Station and follow this route:
- North through neighbourhood streets to Milkman's Lane
- Northeast along the Beltline Trail to the Brickworks
- Up the hill on Pottery Rd then south on Broadview
- South through Riverdale Park then south on the Lower Don Trail
- West along side streets to St. James Park
- Head to a nearby gelato place (if you wish)

Post-hike gelato is encouraged but not a required part of the event. There may not be enough seating for all of us, so we will find a nice place in nearby St. James Park to enjoy our gelato.

Route Rundown:
Distance: 9.5 km
Pace: between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h
Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + gelato time
Trails: Mostly paved and gravel trails with a few sidewalks
Terrain: A few big hills in the first half, otherwise the route is pretty flat

The hike will end near King Subway Station and close to the King and Queen streetcar lines.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 1:30pm. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
