Toronto Harbourfront Kayak Paddling Evening (6/13/2007)

Itinerary:

Paddle in to a setting sun. This evening is simply a get out on the water for NOVICE/INTERMEDIATE paddlers, NOT a lesson on how to paddle. .

Participants MUST know how to paddle and be able to maintain a steady pace to be able to stay with the group for a 2 hour paddle. The guide will watch people as they put in & move around in the harbour - anyone who looks wobbly won't be able to paddle with the group.

We'll be out on the water at 6:30 PM. Please try to arrive 30 minutes early to sign in, change, prepare your boat, and get onto the water.

Harbourfront staff will await our arrival with barbecued hotdogs, burgers, and veggie burgers (suggested donation $2-$3 each). Bring any drinks (non-alcoholic) or snacks that you might want.

For registration purposes, please indicate food (veggie & non) & type of rental craft: single kayak or tandem kayak (4 available). People who have their own kayaks are welcome to meet up with us.

This event must NOT involve any alcohol.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Habourfront Canoe and Kayak Centre is located south of the Rogers Centre (Skydome) right on the edge of Lake Ontario. It is directly south of Queens Quay Yachting on the S.W. corner of Queens Quay W. and Rees St (Robertson Cres.), and are neighbors to the Marine Police Station.

By TTC, take the Queens Quay West Street Car (Harbourfront LRT) from underground at Union Station, disembark at the Rees St. (Radisson Plaza Hotel) and walk 10 metres west. Pay parking is available on the N.W. corner of Queens Quay & Rees St.


Notes:

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
