Itinerary:
The Toronto Orienteering Club (another TOC!) offers clinics for those interested in learning about orienteering.

As a sport, this is essentially running with a map and compass for navigation. In practice, it's what keeps us from getting hopelessly lost in the woods (or landing 747s at the Island Airport.) In a beginner clinic you will learn the most basic principles of navigation as it applies to everything outside of a marked road or path.

The clinics run on Wednesday nights as single sessions from 6:30 until 8pm in Toronto's public parks throughout the summer. There are advanced clinics as well, or you may simply run the course set up that evening.

Clinics are $30. A park series event is $5 (this is a membership cost you must purchase.)
A compass rental is $0.50 with a $5 deposit.

Please indicate by your experience level if you want to sign up for a clinic, and I will let them know we are coming.
