NOTE: I have changed the route slightly. We will be starting at Steeles East and McCowan Road and walking north. We'll walk north. We'll take a break at the Markville Mall before continuing to historic Unionville and its art galleries. We'll stop by the Guyana Festival at Markham City Hall (taking another break), before walking down Warden and ending at Steeles and Warden.

The route is a mixture of sidewalks and paved trails.

BY TTC: Take the 53A Steeles East Bus. Get off at the corner of Steeles East and Staines (just before the bus turns). We will meet at the bus stop.

PLEASE LEAVE ENOUGH TRAVEL TIME. THE STEELES EAST BUS TAKES ABOUT ONE HOUR FROM FINCH STATION TO STAINES ROAD. Aim to arrive at 10:15am. We are leaving at 10:30am from the bus stop. BY CAR: There should be on street parking off Staines Avenue. Alternately, you could park at the plaza at Bamburgh Circle and Warden (near the end location for the hike) and TTC it over.
