Paul Newman was arguably one of the best actors to just recently pass away. However, most of his movie roles were quite serious. In 'Slap Shot' though he really had a chance to let loose and have fun.

Slap Shot (1977, USA, 123mins, 14a) Dir. George Roy Hill Starring Paul Newman,

A comedy starring Newman as the aging player-coach of the Charleston Chiefs hockey team. Mired in a long losing streak and deserted by their fans, the Chiefs learn that the franchise is to fold at the end of the season. refusing to give up, Newman encourages his team in no-hold-barred play. Three recently acquired brothers prove to be the ultimate monsters of high-sticking mayhem, leading the Chiefs to victory after violent victory and filling the stands -TV Guide

We'll be meeting at the theatre entrance for 9PM. Movie starts at 915PM. Look for me with a TOC sign.
