Sat, Feb 18 2006 - Practice Golf at the Oasis Golf Dome (View Original Event Details)
|
The Oasis Golf Practice turned out to be fun, fun, and more fun. One would think hitting golf balls over and again until one gets it right would not be that fun- but for some of us it is!! You might think only those who are nuts about golf and you might be right. Most of the people who participated in this event were also members of the Toronto Golf Nuts (www.torontogolfnuts.com an online forum for GTA Golfers). Some played on the golf simulators while others practiced their swinging, putting and chipping. Oasis in itself was pretty neat. We enjoyed practicing over sand and water while sipping on complimentary coffee; putting and chipping while watching the Olympics; and driving our hearts outs while paying attention to that all important swing-talk about multi-tasking. The owners made us feel at home and were more then generous with their tips. I don't know how the die hard golfers do it but I can tell you that I am still sore and I know at least one other participant went home with blisters! This was good exercise, so much so that even the founders of the TGN's went home after 4 hours of practice. It was really nice to meet others with the same interests and hope to do it all again in the near future. Like they say "Practice makes perfect".
