Although the weather was a bit chilly, it was a wonderful weekend to enjoy some snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Upon arriving Friday afternoon, we met Allan and loaded our bags onto his skidoo. We got our first taste of the snow on the 7km trek in, some chosing to try out their skis, others following on snowshoes. After the inital workout and unpacking and getting settled, we sat down to a welcoming dinner, and chatted with our hosts Viki and Allan. We spent the next 2 days exploring the goergeous trails either by snowshoe or ski, eating delicious and healthy home cooked meals. In the evenings, we entertained ourselves by playing games and soaking in the sauna, with the occasional late night nature walk. It was an expereince we won't soon forget.
