We had an exciting hike today at Short Hills Provincial Park complete with super slick clay trails, several washed out bridges, a dozen deer, and lots of wild veggies.

Beware of the eastern half of the Scarlet Tanager trail listed on some maps floating around online. This section does not seem to be maintained any more and requires several river crossings due to damaged bridges. However, despite the "Trail Closed" sign on the Northern section of the Black Walnut trail, it is indeed open and well maintained with some newly minted bridges.
