A looooong hike! ☺ We ended up doing about 40 km instead of the planned 36. Different hikers had different GPS readings, 39 km, 41 km 42 km.
The reason for the extra km is that we had to take a long way around a section of beach which had large crashing waves. We would most likely have sustained internal injuries if we tried to walk that section of beach.
Definitely have to do this one again, and go even farther!!
