Sat, May 26 2007 - Ganaraska trail hike (View Original Event Details)
|
We started the hike at Km 0.00 of the Ganaraska trail at Port Hope, in a very nice day.
We were caught within a big group of people on the trail, that later we found out they are from the Ganaraska trail hiking club, and they celebrated their 40th year!!!
After emerging from a narrow path in the woods, we re-grouped and continued ahead of the
other group. We continued along a road, and did not see a lot of markers. The description
of the guide is good, and let us find our way on the trail.
We had stopped for lunch at Sylvan Glen conservation area, while the other group
continued for their celebration at a farmhouse.
We explored the trail in the conservation area, until we had arrived to a wired fence.
At this point we started our way back to Port Hope, where we finished our hike with
iceream, before heading back to the city.
Thanks for everyone who participated.
