It was an absolutely beautiful day, as you can see from the pictures. It was cold, but sunny with fantastic blue skies. The only downside...it turned all that snow into something quite slippery. We started out the day with a few pointers from Stefan, our instructor and trusted him when he said that we'd be more than ready for the Pine Trail. Thanks Stefan...it was all downhill from there, and I mean that literally!
Some of us (ok, mostly me) were not quite so ready to handle the massive icy steep twisty hills on this so called 'easy' route. I spent most of the day in a heap at the bottom of these hills. While Tricia, John and Rob all went on to try more challenging routes, Heather and I dragged our black and blue bodies back to the chalet accompanied by a very sympathetic Cathy. We spent the rest of the afternoon back in the training park, until I finally had had enough.
At least the hot chocolate was tasty and they had marshmallows
Actually it was a gorgeous day and a fun time even with all our bruised knees and butts. Even I am willing to give it one more time. Except no hills, thanks....
