Sun, Mar 22 2015 - Brampton Walking Group - Spring Equinox Hike (View Original Event Details)
|
A beautiful, sunny afternoon for a walk, even with the cool wind. The group had a great couple of hours, walking through the Claireville Conservation Area. Everything is just on the edge of getting going, it felt as if, given a couple more degrees, or warmer southerly wind, the shrubs and trees would be be budding out into leaf. Galina's pooch, Rusty, was a welcome group member, behaving himself beautifully around the other people and dogs we met. A treat at the end of the walk, a mixture of birds around a couple of feeders - a Blue Jay, a Pied Woodpecker, a creeper of some sort, perhaps a Nuthatch, and many friendly Chickadees.
