Everyone arrived at noon & had plenty of time to check in at the pro shop and warm up at the practice range before teeing of at 1:20. Both Jim and I were expecting the day to be warmer than the cloudy 16 to 17 degrees with 10 - 15 KPH winds so we were cold from the get go in our shorts. While Alison and Brent were definitely much more prepared! We played the Cardinal Golf Club's east course which starts out with a very hilly front 9 holes. Everyone played at a very good consistent pace considering we had to battle the cold and the wind. The sun finally came out and the winds died down after we made the turn and started the less hilly and more wide open back 9 holes. All in all everyone played quite well and more importantly had a great time out on the course even with the earlier chilly & windy weather. We got done at 6 and headed off to the 19th hole (Turtle Jack's in Vaughn) for some food and brew and to also go over our scores and more golf stories. This was definitely a great public course that offered an enjoyable variety of challenges for both novice and experience golfers. And just for the record, here are everyone's scores: Alison 106, Perkin 119, Brent 120 and Jim 127.
